Shimano Plays 4000 Electric Reel

The Plays 4000 electric reel is poised to be the new basic of powerful electric reels, with a body that is redesignd to be low profile, enabling the user to control with a single hand. The Thumb Rest Clutch and Quick Return Clutch further enhances your handling of the reel while MUTEKI MOTOR greatly increases the power and speed. A smoother and stronger drag is achieved with Carbon Cloth Washer and the newly added function Instant Stop allows the angler to instantly stop retrieving with just a press of a button.

HAGANE BODY
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body rigidity and impact resistance virtually eliminate body flexing on the reel while fighting a fish. The result transforms the angler’s actions directly into cranking power.

S A-RB
S A-RB bearings are put through the same process as Shimano’s A-RB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. These shields reduce the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the rotation of the bearing.
